World Kindness Day 2025 at BWoSCC

Several weeks prior to the event, each clinical area asked patients to feedback on their experience of kindness in hospital. There were so many positive comments from patients and their families about the care.
This was so wonderful for our staff to hear that the excellent care is not only person centred, but that staff are kind and compassionate in the delivery of that care. Each area retained all the comments and they were interlinked to produce the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre Kindness Chain.
Our theme this year was that an act of kindness can have a ripple effect. Staff who were on duty on the 13th November and participated in the event , received a galaxy ripple which was much appreciated by everyone.
This event also incorporated our ongoing commitment to the Civility Saves Lives Initiative within Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
